Hello all, I'm in the final planning stages of a new and exciting business venture that should interest some of you who have succeeded in collecting large amounts of wines and you're finding that you're running out of room to store them. Like my friends in Menlo Park I will offer the best state-of-the art facilities for storage of your collections but unlike anyone else in our geographical region of the greater Bay Area, I will ensure that not only temperature and humity levels are met but also that light and vibration are eliminated from the equasion. My purpose of this announcement is first to let you know this is coming very soon to the East Bay where I'll target the communities from Martinez in the North all the way to Gilroy in the south. Some of the ammenities to be offered are; State-of-the-art environmental protection including not only the HVAC systems but the total elimination of ultra violet light as well as vibration from the facility. As far as I'm aware there are NO FACILITIES in Northern California that totally address ALL of these aspects for safely storing your investment. These systems will be monitored 24 x 7 through web based systems and backed up by remote monitoring facilities which are manned 24 x 7. Safe and secure 24 x 7 access to your investment via CCTV monitored card access systems. Once again monitored as mentioned above. Other services offered will include Fine affordable tobacco product sales and storage (cigars) into the mix with a sealed smoking room with WiFi Internet access. (Closed at 10:00 p.m.) Weekly tastings co-sponsored by any number of the 31 wineries in the Livermore Appelation District as well as those from the Gilroy area. Quarterly special events such as wine/food paring dinners, harvest party dinners/events, port/chocolate parings.....the list is endless. Wine appreciation seminars for the novice wine lover as well as advancced wine making techniques and events (bottle your own wines) Consignment wine sales Retail area which will market wine & tobacco accessories as well as my own line of scented custom made candles and luxury items Buying co-ops that will focus on our active membership as well as commercial proprieters such as bars, restaurants and local merchants Reserved storage space for local wineries and winemakers. Well I suppose I've let the cat out of the bag so I should get my big ol butt in gear and get this place opened. Initially we'll offer just the storage facility until such time as the clientle warrants adding the additional features. I'm currently seeking start-up capital and I welcome any and all inquiries from private investors as well as more traditional sources. Franchising inquiries are also welcome. Currently under negotiations for the initial facility which will be near the 580/680 freeway interchange, most likely in the Dublin/Pleasanton area. I wish to remain as accessible to local freeways and major highway and city routes as possible. If all goes as planned this facility will be operational by EO1Q2006. Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] or via my direct business line, 925-699-8659. I hope it is ok that I included these contact interfaces???

Sounds good. I was just curious about one line --

"As far as I'm aware there are NO FACILITIES in Northern California that totally address ALL of these aspects for safely storing your investment."

I thought there were places like this in San Jose and SF already?

In SF alone, there's the http://www.presidiowinebunkers.com/, three traditional storage places with wine areas/clients (like http://www.citystorage.com/wine_storage.htm), Vinfolio (https://www.vinfolio.com/jsp/public/services/protect.jsp) and many more that I can't think of off the top of my head.

My south-bay friends in Cupertino, Los Gatos and San Jose all know of local places as well.

just curious. . .

I've checked both those places out and if you'll read closely all they address is temperature and humidity. What about the City Storage favility which I KNOW is on a busy street with heavy trucks etc. They can't have possibly retrofit this building to eliminate vibration. Also neither site addresses uv light.

Without getting too defensive or excited I highly suggest that everyone just wait until I'm open and then I'll send everyone invitations and you can decide then what steps to take for your storage needs.

The other reebuttal that I have is that neither of these facilities resides in the east bay where there is only ONE (Shurgard Storage in Walnut Creek) such facility and once again being right on top of the 680 freeway vibration is a major exposure.

So what stage is this business in now? August is the last time you made an entry, yet I've seen where you say you are Owner and President of L'uva Bella Wine Storage and Special Events Center in Dublin. Where is this place?

When and where?

I am in Pleasanton and would really like a fine facility nearby.

I'm still in the funding stages for this project but it appears the facility will more than likely be in the Sierra Lane/Circle area of Dublin. The available buildings in this area are more upscale than those I've looked into in Pleasanton and Livermore and much more freeway and major thoroughfare accessible than those that the Pleasanton Planning Dept wants to put me in (Stanley Road/Commerce Circle area).
IF you can hold out for a short period of time I promise that this new facility will be well worth the wait. I estimate that we should be up and running fully (with ALL emmenties included) by the end of this year. The storage alone should be ready before the end of summer.
IF you need to store your wines safely until I'm open I'd recommend looking into the Shurguard facility in Walnut Creek as a short term measure.
Please feel free to contact me directly at my email address should you have any questions. I'd like to keep in touch with everyone who is interested in this so I can keep them abreast of the project schedule and future plans for franchising!! Believe it or not I have contacted some very well known wineries in the Napa/Rutherford/Staggs Leap areas and even THEY are interested in storing wines in my facility due in part to the thoroughness of my business plan and my attention to every detail of wine storage. NOBODY and I REPEAT NOBODY will provide you with as much safety, security and ammenities as this business will!

Of course I'm always looking for investors as well. This will help me bring to market this exciting facility even faster!! These angels must be willing to stay in the background of the planning and management of this business.

Thanks for your inquiry!

Because of funding issues I've been late in opening as advertised. To address one comment above yes, there are other facilities but none who address all four factors of safely storing wines (light, tempurature, humidity and vibration). Also, all of these facilities you mentioned are JUST wine storage facilities. I will have other ammenities and features that places such as the Wine Bank or K & L wines do not. While both of these facilties are fine businesses (both are at or over capacity with waiting lists of up to a year) they ONLY store your wines. Other facilities such as Presidio Wine Bunkers ONLY address storage as a feature. If any of you are aware of the fire in Vallejo recently you'll know that pure storage space isn't the end of the game when it comes to keeping your investments safe. Also, the facilities you've mentioned are not in the East Bay which is my target area however I'll be freeway accessible (at the 580/680 corridor)and within 30 minutes of all reaches of the east, SF Bay and south bay areas (from the Benicia Bridge to Gilroy)

We would really like to hear what you have to say
