Bryn--Since every continental state has a winery, would it make sense to add "United States" or "USA-Other States" after Washington?

  Stag's, Stags', and Stags

I am enjoying finding my way around this interesting website, and will add my cellar soon. My tip to share is that some are confused about two wineries; Stag's Leap Wine Cellars (Cask 23, FAY, SLV, Hawk Crest) and Stags' Leap Winery. To further complicate matters, there is Stags Leap District. Note the position of the apostrophies and you will never be confused again if you write the names in full. ( both wineries have spent thousands of dollars rectifying this spelling problem ). Healthy corks! wine4fun (Show Me!)

How to build a wine cabinet
General Posted by bryguy2 on 03/20/2003 at 01:48 PST in General

Does anyone know (Internet, book, magazine) where I can find info on how to build a wine cabinet? I checked out Gold's book, and all he talks about is a full room cellar. As a renter, I don't have that option. But, my collection has outlived my 30 bottle wine cave. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Is anyone familiar with Martin Creek Cellars? I have not been able to find info on the web about them. What I do know: They have aged in oak for ten years (1986-1996), cabs. They have bottled these cabs in 1996, and labled them 1986 Cabernet Sauvignon Proprietors Reserve. So far so good, right. I have found a dealer (ugh,on eBay) that is selling this by the case, and they have been going for $75 to $120 per case. These seems very cheap for 17 year old Cab. Any insights or experiences out there?

Hello can you pls let me know how much you think this bottle of wine I have is? It's overture, bottled by opus one, and it says on the back after 18 months in second year french oak barrels, they have bottled this wine for thier own use since alot of wine like this one dosent make it's way into the master blend. it's not intended for wholesale distribution or resale, only at a winery. Pls let me know if you have any other info:) thanks! Nana

I was at a holiday party and tasted this delcious wine...then finished the bottle myself. However, I can't find anyone in LA that stocks it, or has even heard of it. It's from Napa, Oakville. Has anyone out there tried it, or know where to get it? If you like merlot, you've got to try this wonderful, inexpensive wine.

  Help! I need a cellar

Help! I'm being transferred from my perfect 55 degree wine closet to the rigours of (at least for a while) apartment living in the San Francisco area. Rather than holding a drunken going away party I have decided to purchase a cellar for my 150+/- faves... Who has had experience with any of the commercially available cellaring units? Opinions and suggestions most welcome.

How about adding "Corvina" or "Corvina Blend" to the varietal list? Thanks, Kevin

Dole, I saw a post on the WS forums asking what software people use to manage their cellars. I was going to recommend this site, but if you don't want the added traffic, I won't do it.
