I am enjoying finding my way around this interesting website, and will add my cellar soon. My tip to share is that some are confused about two wineries; Stag's Leap Wine Cellars (Cask 23, FAY, SLV, Hawk Crest) and Stags' Leap Winery. To further complicate matters, there is Stags Leap District. Note the position of the apostrophies and you will never be confused again if you write the names in full. ( both wineries have spent thousands of dollars rectifying this spelling problem ).
Healthy corks!

Wow, you are right. It never occured to me that they were different wineries!
http://www.stagsleapwinery.com/ (Stags' Leap Winery) is owned by Beringer Wine Estates Company.
Another reason to know the history of a winery before you buy the wine.

I learned the lesson of the Stag's Leap the hard way when I brought a bottle of the other Stags Leap to the Sardine Factory to share with my friends and display my wine savvy. The sommelier was very kind but gentle when he pointed out the difference between the two!

The confusion is not accidental. Stag's Leap Winery purposely has tried to associate itself with the world class winery, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.
