I am a new user and want to catalog my growing collection in the easiest way possible. I see your information about scanning the UPC bar codes, but it seems quite out of date as the cuecats are only available on ebay. Some have been modified to operate as a regular scanner. Should I get one of these? Should I get a different one? Is the functionality still the same?

I just got a hold of one of the cuecats from a neighbor and it works just fine. I am also new and had to hand enter all 343 bottles....glad that I now have a scanner
