Any one have any thoughts on the 97 Pine Ridge and when it may ready to go. I have 14 bottles and was going to pop one. A buddy said wait another year. Figure I have a fair amount so it may not be bad to compare one now to future tastings. Little worried it's early. Thoughts?

I cant believe it- i had both Howell Mountain and the other vineyard-cant remember the name escapes me at the moment, in any case i just opened my over the Holidays, and it definately needed decanting. I wouldnt wait too long before you sample you may wait too long and be very disapointed. Also remember some wines go through a dull period. another good reason to sample and record occasionally.

We would really like to hear what you have to say
