i have been given (deceased estate) a case of Yalumba Selected Cabernet Sauvignon 1971 Vintage,Bin N4. Could someone tell me about this wine and it's worth.....should i drink it, put it in the bin, sell it or put it into the christmas cake?...any response will be greatly appreciated. thankyou.

Trusting that it has been well cellared. Yalumba has a web site (www.yalumba.com) and I would ask them for information. If they want to buy the case back, I would decline. Good Luck.

I'll say! If they offer to buy the case back, thats probably a good sign.
The conditions that the wine was stored in is paramount. If it got hot for any length of time, or was subjected to temperature fluctuations then it may \ be pretty nasty.
If it is good, you can expect a beautiful brick color and some sediment.
