I waited tables at a fine dining restaurant in Texas in college and Jeff Mayo (GM of the vineyard) came by and we did a tasting w/ him. I can't recall the Cab that we tasted, but we also tasted the 1998 Shannon's Block Merlot. It was one of the best merlot's I have ever had. The wine is filled w/ blackberry and chocolate with a hint of oak and a great mint finish. I bought 3 bottles last year and had one of them about a month ago. It was even better than the first tasting. they have a decent website - and you can purchase the wine from the site. I have emailed them a few times and they are very quick to respond.
