| Wine Notes: | Though New Zealand has long been known for its Sauvignon Blancs, Pinot Gris is starting to emerge as an equally strong grape variety for the country. As they did with Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand producers are developing their own, unique take on Pinot Gris. Our panel's tasting note: Pale straw colour with aromas of hawthorn, peach, apple, hay and spice. Dry, soft centred, much more characterful than many Oregonian examples.
