Wine Notes:  "The technical director for Rejadorada, Jose Ignacio 'Chencho', is the chief oenologist for all of the bodegas within the Denominacion de Origens in the province of Castilla y Leon. He is a well-respected figure in the Spanish wine industry, and for his vast knowledge of the Toro region. For this reason, the investors from Vega Sicilia consulted with 'Chencho' to find the best vines and soil for their newest project Pintia. With the pedigree of old vine fruit and sound enology, Bodega Rejadorada produces wines with great intensity and finesse. The power and elegance have been said to be similar to some of the best wines from Priorat. Rejadorada captures the true essence of the Toro region. The Rejadorada Tinto Roble offers sweet aromas of black cherries and currants. Plenty of fruit in the mouth - loaded with blackberries, black cherries and currants - this beginning and middle is followed by a finish of licorice, smoke, and earth. Quite a story. Certainly not a short one." -Importer #2; COLOR-darker; NOSE-smoked ham w/ cherry sauce on it; TASTE-more popular flavor profile for US, very dry, totally integrated, more lush, more new world, CA profile; GV-89+
