| Wine Notes: | The wine is made with 100% Tinto Fino, the local name for Tempranillo. Cigales is a wine zone in north/northwest Spain. Traditionally, they have been known for their rosés from Tinto Fino and Garnacha, but increasingly quality producers, such as Valdelosfrailes, are making strides with dry red wines. Tasting Note: Colour: intense cherry, deep red edge. The nose is very complex, with notes of mature fruit (blackberry, raspberry) and a lightly spiced background. The palate is meaty and flavourful denoting a great personality. Aftertaste long and intense. (Epicure, Jan. 2003) |
