Wine Notes:  I tasted this wine last May and it was a knockout! Filled with ripe berry fruit and cassis, this red from Valencia has a wild and brambly quality about it. Enjoy this wine with a grilled pork loin seasoned with a spicy dry rub. Parker says: The debut vintage from a producer whom Eric Solomon feels is a future star, this blend of 40% Tempranillo, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Mourvedre, and 10% Mando (a local grape) was aged 4-6 months in barrel. Its opaque purple color is followed by sumptuous aromas of peppery sweet black fruits, licorice, scorched earth, and red as well as black currants. With tremendous purity, intensity, texture, and fruit, it is a Spanish red to buy by the trunkful. A great bargain, it will drink well for 2-3 years.
