| Wine Notes: | Tasting note: A good example of Prosecco, the famous bubbly of Venice, Verona and environs. Look for gentle sweet pear, white flower and sourdough yeastiness on the nose. Fresh, light and charming on the palate — perhaps a little soft and sweet in the middle then drying out on the finish. Chill and enjoy as an aperitif. Nino Franco is a solid, reliable specialist of the genre. Also in half bottles, which will nicely allow a couple to enjoy a glass before dinner. (David Lawrason, Wine Access, June 2000).
