| Wine Notes: | This wine’s core, a brilliant ruby red color is joined by a vivid cherry fruit. Compared to last year’s wine, the cherry fruit in this one is not quite so dark. It’s more on the wild cherry side. Also, this wine is built more around that fruit, and less around the assertive earthy spice that was the signature of the 2003 bottling. While it is not as complex as the 2003, neither is it quite as stiff. It’s more of a versatile quaff; good with food, but also good for casual sipping. |
