| Wine Notes: | This 100% Tempranillo (locally called Tinta de Toro) is aged in French and American oak for one year. It is bottled without filtration or cold stabilization so even in its youth it may throw a bit of sediment. Our panel's tasting note: Deep ruby colour with intense aromas of plum, cassis and vanilla. Dry, fairly tannic with fruit beneath. Full-bodied with a long finish. Mid-term cellar candidate (5-7 years). (Source: Vintages, July 2003). Comments on 1999 vintage: A smooth, dense texture carries rich yet somewhat reticent flavors of plums, prunes, chocolate and toast in this powerful red.
