Wine Notes:  it’s a perfect pairing with your favourite sea foodsThe mix is about 85/15 sauvignon blanc/sémillon and the style is attractive. It tastes a bit riper (sweeter) this year compared with 2012, with plenty of baked apple and honey throughout. The attack is fresh, with light herbaceous undertones, definite mid-palate sweetness balanced by tangy, citrus, tropical fruit character that persists into the finish. Chill this wine and serve it with any spicy curry or pan-Asian dishes, if there is any wine left before the food arrives.I really like the HB sémillon in the blend and this standalone bottling. It appears to be well suited to the site and climate in Naramata yielding a delicious juicy, floral, grassy, nettle figgy sémillon that is so much fun to drink young. Love the tropical fruit, the baked apples and honey and with just enough gras sand citrus to keep it focused. Well done.
