Wine Notes: | Firm in texture, with juicy blackberry and pepper flavors. Reminiscent of Shiraz, except for the lighter texture. Drink now through 2003. 10,000 cases made. (Source: Wine Spectator, May 31, 2002). Francis and Chester Osborn, featured in our spotlight 'Princes of Dark Wine' in April 2003, return with their grand interpretation of Grenache. This is a repurchase of the same vintage we last released in September 2002. Tasting note: Appearance: ruby. Nose: cedar, white pepper, alcoholic. Taste: sweet raspberry, jammy, well integrated note, full on the palate. Score - **** (out of 5). (Tony Aspler, www.tonyaspler.com, Aug. 15, 2002) Food match: roast pheasant or other game birds. |
