| Wine Notes: | This is a very good value, botrytis-affected late harvest, predominantly Semillon with a little Sauvignon Blanc, that's made in a method similar to Sauternes. It delivers rich flavours of ground cherries, apricot and peach with a pungent veneer of honey, the sweetness held nicely in check by the acidity. It's luscious, delicious and a give-away at this price, especially when you can put it away for up to ten years. Drink it with crème caramel, foie gras, or lobster (but not simultaneously). (RP) |
