I have had the cannubi - but from the 1995 vintage. I have had several other barolos from the 1993 vintage, however. Michele Chiarlo can be a bit of hit or miss, in my opinion, but the 1995 was a hit. The 1993 vintage is somewhat lost in the hubub of the 1990, 1989, 1996, 1997, 1999 vintage, so it does not get a huge amount of attention - it is an excellent vintage from my experience and well worth buying into if you can find it because in many places that I have seen it, it is priced at a considerable discount to the vintages mentioned above (1999 not yet out). I generally like to drink barolo when it is aged at least ten years, but 15 is much better - but while not an early vintage, the 1993 from a producer that is not an ironclad traditionalist should be fine right now. Have it with a good steak to break the tannin if there is much. I have had the scavino bric del fiasc and the moscarello and some others, a fair amount of tannin left, but each quite accessible after a bit of air. Good luck - should be a pretty good bottle.
