I own beatiful unopened bottle of Spanish Pinot Noir Vintage 1961 wine. Bottle is shaped like a spanish male dressed in tradidtional costume. In a middle of the bottle there is a sign: Designed Especially for Dalmau Hermanos. I cannot find any info on this wine - do you know how much it is worth? Thanks. (Show Me!)

I came across a bottle, that I can not find any information. The bottle is all covered with leather, even the bottom. The color is like a light brown color. In front of the bottle it has two nickel size circle with spanish shields . the top of the bottle is red and it says Dalmau Tarragona printed on it.It also has a small gold chain attached to a wooden cork. Can you tell me what I have and the value, Thank You JOE

I too have the above captioned bottle. However, The color of the leather is black, the two circles are more like the size of half dollar imprinted with a man's profile and LAG De Dios . 1883. Alfonso XII POR . It is of course now empty but the contents were 1 Pint 8 fl ozs of Spanish Vin Rose. Vintage 1966. Dalmau Hermanos & Co. Suc. Tarragona. Imported by ; Galsworthy Inc. , Newark, NJ
Will this help in researching the value? Thank you,
Doris

I also have one of these bottles, vintage 1966. I don't see any answers (I know it's been about a year) but would like to see some information on it.

Thanks

I have a 1961 spanish vin rose with a spanish female dressed in traditional costume.

Have you been able to get a value on this wine?

Thanks
Frank

My husband also found a bottle and we are now searching for the value. The contents is still in the bottle and its a curved shape bottle with leather on top and attached by some sort of a sting to leather on bottom , String criss crosses. bottle has a chain with a cork attached to it and a stand that it sits in top of bottle is a red wax covering that says Tarragona Dalmau no year or anything that can tell us the age of it. Can anyone help us.
Thank You, Rachel

Just because a wine is old doesnt mean its worth anything, or even drinkable. For the most part, only very specific old wines have any value, and they are from Bordeaux or Burgundy (or a couple of other regions) and have been properly stored for their entire lifetimes. I suggest you either enjoy these Spanish bottles as sculptural objects, or take a chance and break out the wine, which may or may not be drinkable at this point, or put them on eBay as "collectible bottles" and see what the market brings.

We would really like to hear what you have to say
