The concentrated flavors of strawberry and currant are balanced nicely with the acidity, smooth tannins and memorable finish. Try it with wild game and pasta dishes with truffles.Very typical in style, with ripe fruit, tobacco and meat aromas. Full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a velvety, fruity finish. Slightly over extracted, but impressive. Less overdone than the 1997. Best after 2004. 1,200 cases made. |
