Wine Notes: | A repurchase of the same vintage we last released in our Pacific Northwest spotlight in January 2003. Tasting note: Canadian Wine Awards Silver Medallist in 2001. Now settling into maturity with very fetching and complex ripe fruit, leather, cedar, mocha and herb aromas. Medium weight with very good extract and sweetness on the palate. Still shows Black Sage dusty tannin and earth on the finish. Excellent length. Now to 2006. Score - 90. (David Lawrason, Wine Access First In Line E-Report, Jan. 2003) Food match: grilled portobello mushrooms. (Source: Vintages, June 2003). |
