Bought 3-4 btls. from K&L in the heady days of 2001-02. While I agree with the austere notes of ST, I cannot taste the vegetal elements he so eloquently describes. The finish did, seem abrupt

The 2001 started it all, after the big WS rating I snapped-up a case for $12 each at the Topps Liquors on Bissonett.That wine was a hit, and I included a bottle in the SAA Women in Wine package. The 03 was a cooler vintage, and tasted quite lean and herbal, and the 04 was leaner still, tasting like (fresh) white grapefruit . Doubled back to the liquor store and got the remaing 7 bottles of 01, which were long gone everywhere else in 6-04. True story.

Overall quite good once you get the delicate style, though one bottle was overly oxidized at the onset. Bought a bottle at El Meson($60) with the Kuntz's in 2003 which was superbly fresh and vibrant.
